This Brown Brothers CTL-B paddle/key combination was originally purchased by my good friend and mentor Harry, WØZGL. Harry was unique and a dreamer and a do'er. He was an antenna designer and always had a smile, kind word and upbeat personality. My kids, when they were young, referred to him as Harry With The Cool Car, because he was by then a "grandpa" type but drove a red convertable on pretty days.

Harry purchased this key from Bill Brown, noted key maker that lived here in St. Louis and produced each key in a basement workshop. Harry did some CW but mainly the key was used to key-up his rig when he was designing and testing antennas.

Some years ago Harry sold his ham gear and moved into a nursing home and it was at that time that I got his key and used it for a long time and had many wonderful contacts.

Recently the time came and I felt the need to give this very special key to a new CW ham friend who lives here in the St. Louis area. I am sure that the magic that is in that key will finally find its way out again as she uses it and creates her own memories with it.
