| My vertical uses the MFJ-1910 33 foot fiberglass mast that slips over a 3/4 inch pipe that is hammered into the ground. The two-wire vertical radiator wires are taped up each side - one 33 feet and the other is 26 feet, and they are both fed directly via the hook-up box. This antenna and the tuner in my Jupiter allow me to work 40 - 10 meters easily. The whole setup is portable and can be set up by one person in about 20 minutes and, unlike other "portable" antennas - is a full-sized vertical radiator on 40 meters and a multiple of the quarter wave on all other bands - no compromise here! |
